I've nothing clever to say today except that I've got a cute new sweater. It was rather cheap too.
I also bought wellies because WTF Iceland, not even my most waterproof pair of boots can handle all that slush! In other words, I have found out why rubber boots are such a popular item over here and, enlightened, bought a rather special-looking pair. They were also cheap (or you know, as inexpensive as rubber boots can be) because they were the last such pair the shop had and by a real stroke of luck they were exactly my size.
Then I walked home taking special care to jump into every puddle I could find. Waterproof they are indeedy!
