Yesterday night in Breiðholt. Snu texted me about the northern lights so I quickly grabbed my camera and ran outside, spending the next fifteen minutes lying on my back on the lawn, freezing my sitting parts off. Alas, the photos aren't that awesome but I still thought I'd share!

At one point they almost made a crown right above me... however, it unraveled.

I took many of these photos either lying down on my back of sitting up with the camera one the ground for as wide a view as possible. However, many of those photos I took sitting up ended up showing a rather different view altogether...

ReplyDeleteEn mäkään oikeastaan. Tai näin mä täällä viime talvena pari kertaa sellasta vihertävää hehkua, ja sillä kesämökkireissulla kuumassa altaassa lojussa kateltiin myös pientä värivanaa, mut nää oli oikeasti loistavia, monivärisiä ja liikkuivat nopeasti. Oli hienoa!

ReplyDeleteNiinpä! Täällä on talot kaikki niin matalia että jopa Reykjavíkin keskustassa voi katella revontulia ilman että kaupungin valot peittää ne, todisteena siitä Snurre joka näki ne ensin siellä ja hälytti mut kännykällä ulos kattelemaan. :D
